Happy Mothers Day!

While I have always had a great relationship with my Mom, nothing makes you love and appreciate your Mother like becoming a Mother yourself.  Not only has she always taken such good care of me (and Mike, Layla and Cash) she has spent my whole lifetime being a role model for how to be a good Mother.  I'm so lucky that she has given me such a positive example for a healthy and happy Mother/Daughter relationship.  I know that Layla will love all her adventures with Grammy as she grows.  Thank you Mom for all you've done and continue to do.  Now that I know what 3am feedings feel like, I sure am sorry for being such a brat when I was 13.

Now on to my first Mothers Day!  My wonderful husband brought me a very sweet card when I woke up this morning with a gift card to my favorite restaurant with a note to go have a girls night and leave Layla with him whenever I want- woohoo!  He also made me an awesome dinner of grilled salmon, zucchini and rice pilaf.  If you know Mike, you know what a feat this is.  I've never known him to cook anything that wasn't in a microwave.  But he has been holding out on me because dinner was delicious!  Maybe he should cook more often?!?

Mike also found a video of Cash my Mom made me for Mothers Day last year.  Watching it made me cry.  I haven't been able to give him the same amount of attention I once showered on him since Layla was born and hope he still knows how much I love him.

I feel so blessed and honored to be a Momma to Layla Grace and Cashy!
