Luke, a photo catch up.

Even though I've been terrible about blogging, I have been keeping up with Luke's monthly photo shoots.  Here are the last 3 months.  I'm going to do a post with his 10 month pictures an an update all about him tonight or tomorrow, so here is months 7-9.  So many pictures, but this boy is seriously always smiling so I couldn't narrow it down!

Keeping it real...

Letters to Luke

Dear Luke,

Happy 6 month sweet boy!  How can it be that you have been part of our family for half a year already?!

This past month has shown us just how strong you are.  You sit up totally on your own and are not content to just lie on your back for even a second when I change your diaper.  You can stand up holding on to furniture or our fingers. Unbelievably you will even try to take a few steps while holding on to our fingers.  You squirm out of our arms all day long.  You are just so anxious to be up and running!

You are still my happy and lovable little guy.  You let out big belly laughs when your sister dances for you or we tickle your neck.  You love to wrestle and are already a rough and tumble little boy.  The only time you don't have a smile on your face is when you are working on teeth.  And two teeth popped in during your 5th month.  I now give you solid food and your absolute favorite is avocado.  You can even feed yourself a few puffs.

You are my very big boy, weighing in a 25.1 lbs and 29 3/4 inches.  100th percentile for both weight and height.  The dr estimated you will be at least 6'4".

I can't believe it's been half a year.  You are such a joy and a light in our family and we love you oh so much!

Love,

Momma

No biggie, you stand all the time now

Letters to Luke

Dear Luke,

Really, five months already?  Time is just flying with you, I can't believe how quickly you are growing.  This month you have really started to grow and develop.  You are can roll over now and can pull yourself up into sitting position.  You never ever want to be still.  You are constantly rolling and moving and squirming.  Even wen I hold you, you are so busy you practically jump out of my arms.  You can kind of army crawl scoot on your tummy just a little bit if you really want to reach something.  You are going to be off and running as soon as you can.

You are still just as smiley and happy as ever.  Wherever we go people comment on what a happy boy you are.  You erupt in to big belly laughs now.  Usually it's when your sister dances for you, but a little tickle on the neck gets a huge laugh too.  The only time you aren't content is when your teeth are bothering you.  You are teething big time and I can see some white under your gums ready to peek out.  You constantly shove things in your mouth.

Speaking of shoving things in your mouth, we started a little rice cereal this month.  Tonight I added sweet potatoes and you loved them.  Every time we eat you try and grab the food we have out of our hands.

You are my easy and happy baby.  You have brought such joy to our family and we all love you like crazy.

Love,

Momma

Christmas 2013

I'm late.  Sorry. It's easy to do quick posts from my phone, but when I have to upload things that's a whole different story.

We had a blessed and happy Christmas!  We went to Church with my parents on Christmas Eve and had dinner at out house.  We made a gingerbread house and left out cookies and carrots for Santa and his reindeer.  In the morning, Layla was so amazed that Santa actually ate her cookies!  After we opened presents Santa brought, we headed over to my parents house for more presents and Christmas dinner.  This was such a special Christmas as it was Luke's first Christmas, and the first time Layla really started to understand it.

First present she opened was a new Princess Sofia dress.  She immediately needed to take off her Jammies and put on her Sofia dress.

Lets just dump it out and get to the good stuff.
