Letters to Layla
Dear Layla,
Happy 3 month birthday sweet girl! This month your personality has really come out to shine! You are such a smiley happy baby. Your favorite time of the day continues to be the morning and you wake up so happy to start a new day. Sometimes you smile so big it makes your whole body wiggle as if you are just exploding with happiness. Nothing makes you smile more than your Daddy and he does little dances and silly voices just to get a big gummy smile. You have found your voice this month and you aren't afraid to use it! You and I have lots of long conversations all day long.
You are very interested in the world around you. You can reach out and grab on to objects. When you do grab on to something you are so proud of yourself you kick your legs and let out a little squel of delight. This month you have really begun to notice Cash and will reach out to grab him and stare at him in wonderment. You are also proving to be a determined and strong willed little girl. When you want something you focus and work hard to get it.
You love the outdoors. You and I sit out on the deck and you delight in the way the breeze feels on your face and the chirpping of birds overhead.
Developmentally you are doing wonderful. You constantly want to pull yourself into sitting and then standing position. You are able to keep your head level with your body when pulled up. We are still working on rolling over and you have almost accomplished it. You track voices and noises so well and will follow me around the room with your eyes. You weigh a little more than 16 pounds, are almost 26 inches long and wearing 6-9month clothes. You are my big girl! You are sleeping longer at night now (thank you, thank you!) You sleep from 8pm- 3:30am and then back down till about 7am.
You are such a joy and delight. Every morning I look forward to what new things you will discover and spend my days thinking of ways to make you smile. I can't wait to see what next month holds for us.
Love, Momma
