Baby Einstein

Every day I make a conscious effort to provide Layla with the tools and environment to thrive mentally and physically.  I take her to classes and library storytime and park play groups.  We read and play and do our tummy time.  But I also walk a fine line in encouraging her vs. pushing her.  I don't want to rush her development just for the sake of advancement.  I want her to learn and grow in her time, in her way.  With that said, it makes me very happy and proud when people tell me she seems so advanced for her age.  Today at Gymboree class her teacher told me that Layla is too advanced to be in Level 1 anymore.  Level 1 is for babies ages 3-6 months.  But she said Layla is very interactive and ready to move on.  I was so proud of my little Baby Einstein and felt really good about all the hard work I put into being the best Mom I can be to her.  So this Friday we start level 2- it's her first graduation!  She will be the only 5 month old with a bunch of 7-10 month old babies, but I'm confident she will do great!

Here she is listening to her Gymboree teachers instructions.

"Yay, I'm advanced!"
