Dear Layla,
You are seven months old today! Seven. Months. Old. I know I say this every month, but how can it be possible that another month has gone by already? You came in to your seventh month with a bang, waking up with two little teeth popping through your bottom gums. If that wasn't enough, after weeks of scooting around and crawling backwards you took off on a full speed crawl today. Once you got moving there was no stopping you and you spent the rest of the day proudly crawling around the house.
You have such a wonderful personality that is showing through. You are the sweetest little girl God ever made. You will lean your head back in to our cheeks to plant sloppy kisses on our faces. If we leave a room and then come back, you squeal and smile with such excitement to see us. Sometimes all you want to do is snuggle up in the nook of my arm and take a nap all cuddled up. You are just as silly as you are sweet. You love to laugh and do silly things to make all of us smile. Cash still gets the biggest laugh out of you. You are also very studious (can you be studious as a baby?) When you see someone new or experience new places you really look around, suck your bottom lip and take it all in.
Developmentally I am seeing you grow and change every day. In addition to crawling, you are able to stand for long stretches of time while holding on to a table or window. You have started to try pulling yourself in to standing position and can pretty much pull up into a seated position. You eat lots of foods now. Your favorites are bananas and avocados. You can pick up Cheerios and cut up pieces of fruit and feed yourself.
You are our greatest joy and we are having so much fun being your parents. My heart swells with pride with each new accomplishment and overflows with love for you every day.
Love,
Momma
Here's a super short video of her crawling. I will take a better one later but this is what I got on my iphone this morning.
Hanging out in the sink while Momma gets ready
