Letters to Layla

Dear Layla,

Happy eight month birthday!  This month has been amazing watching you change and grow.  You have changed so much this month and Daddy and I find ourselves constantly saying "did you see what she just did," "look at what Layla can do now!"

You are a busy, happy, curious little baby.  You crawl all over the house.  Actually the word crawl doesn't do it justice, it's more of a sprinting crawl.  You pull yourself up to a standing position and will take a few steps while holding on to furntiture or our hands.  You are always exploring and playing.  You love to use Cash as a prop to pull yourself up on.  He just lays there and lets you climb all over him.

You are also making leaps and bounds verbally.  In addition to blabbering all day (babababababa) you can say "hi!" "up" "mama" and 'dada."  You actually know what these words mean.  You will pull up on furniture and look at me proudly and proclaim"up!"  The very best is when you look up at me with arms extended and say "up?"  Sometimes when I leave the room or you wake up from and nap you yell out "Mama! Mama!" and when I come to you, your face erupts in a smile.

You weigh 21.4 pounds and at 29.6 inches long.  Still up above the 95%, but with all your moving around your weight gain has slowed down.

You are such a sweet, lovable and easy baby.  God used all the sweetness and goodness in the world when he made you.  Every day we feel so thankful the somehow we were blessed with the very best baby ever made.

I can't wait to see what your next month holds!

Love,

Momma

This isn't the best picture of Lay, but oh my gosh someone shrunk my husband.  That face is all Mike.

Good Morning sweet baby
