We spent the week at Rehoboth beach with friends. There were 14 adults and 2 babies under one roof, and it was so much fun. This was Mike's group of friends from High School and he's been looking forward to this all summer. We hope we can do this every year! Layla did really well and had a lot of fun. A little fuss here and there as she figured out who everyone was, but she warmed up to everyone pretty quickly. The hardest part was figuring out her sleep schedule as she figured out how to climb out of her pack and play, so had to sleep in bed with me. Plus she wanted to stay up and party all night. Here are some pics of Layla at her beach week.
Stay tuned for a post all about daddy/daughter beach time.
Chillin
Watching the waves roll in
We stopped at the carousel after Layla saw it and started yelling "Weeeee! Weeeee!"
Layla walked right up to this Buddha, put her hand on his and said "Five!" People walking by us on the street all cracked up. So I made her do it again so I could take a pic.
Our house had a pool in the backyard. Every morning Layla would wake up and go to the backdoor and say " Wa Wa?" (Water)
At dinner with the whole crew
Banana Ice Cream on the Boardwalk
Mike's worst nightmare come true: Layla loved chasing birds on the beach
She LOVED the sand.
We spent a lot of time searching for seashells to fill in her bucket.
