Happy Birthday Layla!

We had a wonderful day celebrating Layla's 2nd birthday today.  Mike took off work so we could spend the day as a family.  When I was giving her a bath tonight I asked her what her favorite part of her birthday was and she said "playing with dada!"  I'm going to do a birthday post all about her and all her stats as a 2 year old, but here is how we spent her 2nd birthday!

Making her own breakfast.  She loves to cook, so this is actually a treat!

French toast with Strawberries and whipped cream.  A very special birthday treat.  When I put this in front of her this morning she said "Oh. My. Good-ness"

Ballet class!  Here she is with her teacher working on her bridges.  Daddy came to ballet to so he got to see Layla in action

After ballet we went to Layla's favorite bagel shop for an early lunch.

Then off to Toys R Us where we let her pick out a gift.  Of all the toys in the whole store she decided on a Prince Charming doll to go with her Cinderella doll.  The whole way home she talked about "Prince see Rellie, Prince see Rellie!"  When we got in the door she made the Prince and Cinderella hug and dance while she sang to them.

After nap it was off to Sport Bounce so she could jump and slide.  All these pics are blurry because she was on the move.

We went to dinner at her favorite Mexican place in our town center so she could "dip chips!" and then stopped at the toy store next door for a cuddle with "Big Ellie!"

Momma made more cake! Now she's had enough cake to last her until next year.
