Layla's 2nd Birthday Party

Yesterday we hosted about 20 toddlers for Layla's 2nd birthday party.  I rented a room at the local rec center and we had 3 different moon bounces and a few craft tables to keep the kids occupied.  I made everything myself from the invitations to the decor to the cake and I was really pleased with how everything turned out.  Layla had a blast and was jumping and laughing and running.  She had all of her favorite people there to help her celebrate and you could see that she was just so happy.  She is so loved by so many friends and it was so nice to have so many people there to help her celebrate.  It was her best birthday party yet (I know she's only had two!)

Here are A TON of pictures from her party!  Tomorrow is her actual birthday and I'll post some updates all about our 2 year old.

Elmo Girl

The goodie bags.  I amde each kid got a bag with their name on it.  Inside had a Sesame St coloring book, Elmo socks for the boys or Abby Cadabby socks for the girls, Sesame Bubbles and a bag of goldfish because "Elmo loves his goldfish!"

The food table.  We just ordered pizza's for lunch

The Make a Monster table.  I cut out faces and the kids could either make Elmo or Cookie Monster masks

Oscars Trash Can Tattoo's table.  The kids could give themselves Sesame St Tattoos.  This table was a big hit!

Cookie's D'oh Factory.  Just a table for the kids to play with some play d'oh.  This table also saw a lot of action as the kids took a break from jumping.

Jumping can be exhausting.  These two needed a break

Play d'oh time!

Pizza time!

I knew I wanted to make her an Elmo cake, but I couldn't stomach the idea of giving a bunch of 2 year olds all that red dye.  So here was my solution, Elmo made out of fruit!

An attempt at a group shot by the Sesame mural.  It didn't work.
