Layla and I were lucky enough to score tickets to Easter at the White House this year. Luckily, we happened to be related to the man with the hook up on the hill, Thanks Dad! My Dad took me every year as a kid and it is such a special memory for me. I'm glad I get to share it with Layla now too. She was battling an ear infection so there are very few smiles in these pictures. Her favorite part was the character garden, where you could meet tons of different characters from the Easter Bunny to Barney. She could have stayed there the whole time. There was a concert from The Wanted, cooking demonstrations from celebrity chefs, storytime with oscar nominees reading the stories, yoga on the white house lawn and of course the famous egg roll. Here are a few pics.
In her finest patriotic red, white and blue
She was in awe of Barney. She kept stroking him saying "Oh Barney soft"
Finally a smile!
Apparently this is the cute one from The Wanted. I had to ask someone who he was. That makes me old.
